All painting is done in a hangar shop located at Boerne Stage Airfield. Hangar door can be kept closed and the shop remains clean during projects for optimal finish. Since work is done at the airfield, clients nationwide can schedule and fly into the airfield and have storage hangars available while the work is being completed. Aircraft Painting
Abnavis Aviation provides high quality aircraft and aviation painting services nationwide. All of our aircraft painting and bodywork is complete on site in one of two hangars. One is for cleaning and stripping and the other hangar is reserved for painting so there will be a clean space with proper ventilation to avoid all air particles.

Aircraft painting process involves the following steps -
- Clean, mask and strip paint. This step is very important to preserve the sensitive parts of the aircraft. It is our job to be sure that none of the interior, cockpit or flight controls are damaged. Parts will be removed or 100% protected.
- Prep and prime aircraft - during this step damaged aircraft parts are removed and all bodywork, fiberglass and dents will be repaired to ensure surfaces are smooth and even. Door jams and other small parts will be sanded by hand.
- Base coat application
- Mask and design paint scheme - during this step we will collaborate with the aircraft owner to create a custom paint design and colors will be applied along with a final coat.
Aircraft Restoration
Maintenance and restoration of vintage and light aircraft can be completed prior to painting. We will repair dents, scratches, and color match paint. If you are in need of a general touch up or would like to restore or customize interior and/or exterior contact us for a specific quote.
